Program Manager, Accounts Payable

Location: Cypress, CA

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for the management of the Accounts Payable groups, ensuring that vendor payments are accurately recorded and paid while complying with company policies and procedures. This position has a high opportunity to grow in career to be in charge of Accounting Operations.

The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Manage Accounts Payable Specialists and AP Temporary staff (as needed) who assist / support AP Invoice processing.
  • Manage and review Accounts Payable Invoices for accurate recording and payment of vendor invoices.
  • Manage timely processing of vendor payments to ensure that discounts are taken.
  • Manage and resolve Accounts Payable Department issues on Vendor invoices.
  • Ensure that AP Use Tax is properly accrued and paid in accordance with Sales and Use Tax Guidelines.
  • Perform month-end close activities associated with accounts payable to general ledger and resolving differences, including posting of Journal Entries.
  • Perform month-end close activities for Intra-Company transactions between the corporate office and various business units including posting of Journal Entries.
  • Perform month-end close activities for Inter-Company transactions with affiliated companies including posting of Journal Entries.
  • Develop, implement, and improve department processes, procedures, and controls.
  • Administer and maintain Concur Travel & Expense application and perform weekly extract uploads to the three accounting systems.
  • Ensure that all Travel related expenses adhere to the company’s Travel Policies.
  • Administer the American Express corporate credit card program.
  • Administer EED Total Service application software as far as vendor setups and AP Invoice processing.
  • Administer MELCO Global Netting payment, transactions and settlement.
  • Hiring, training, and supervising department personnel.
  • Participate and assist in audits related to AP.
  • Support Sales and Use Tax audits.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor of Arts in Accounting or comparable experience.
  • Working knowledge of computerized accounting systems (SAP system experience a plus).
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $85,600 and $117,700/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including commissions based on achieving individual performance and/or sales metrics, incentive compensation and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these additional compensation and benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
