Coordinator, Warehouse/Driver

Location: Southborough, MA

POSITION SUMMARY:

This person will be responsible to deliver, material via stake bed truck, load material, tools, and parts on and off stake bed truck, and transport materials to and from job site under the direction of Superintendents and Area Manager. This person will be responsible to make sure that above mentioned tasks are completed on a timely, safely, and professionally. This person will need to keep the truck clean and orderly as well as perform some shop duties of cleaning, helping with shipping, organizing, stocking etc. This person will also be responsible for the procurement of all materials required for maintenance, repair, modernization, and installation as direct by the superintendents or area manager to include any items from service items to modernization and installation equipment required such as fixtures, machines and wire.

The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Safely operate a stake bed truck, forklifts (gas and propane), and pallet jacks.
  • Load and off load material, tools, and parts from stake bed truck or other vehicles at warehouse, vendor locations or at job sites.
  • Transport materials to and from jobsites, warehouses, vendor facilities or other locations as directed by the Superintendent.
  • Support other warehouse operations as directed or as needed.
  • Make sure that the equipment that is being used is in a safe and well-maintained condition. This will include the shop truck, forklift, and pallets jacks along with all the straps and tie-downs that are required.
  • Communicate with Superintendents and Area Manager as to update on delivery progress and other activities.
  • Reasonable knowledge of the freeways, major surface streets, and local driving conditions in the local area.
  • Ability to pass forklift safety course and forklift certification.
  • Ability to maintain reasonable report of daily and/or weekly work activities.
  • Maintain the schedule as updated and report any deviation or incidents to Supervisor.
  • Build relationships with vendors to enable improve pricing and lead times for deliveries.
  • Continue to educate yourself on elevator equipment for better understanding and procurement accuracy.
  • Continue training on vendor survey sheets for modernization procurement. A final goal shall be to procure all modernization project materials needed as per a specification.
  • Procure all parts as requested for maintenance, repair, modernization, and installation as requested by Superintendents and Managers.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory.
  • Create POs as needed to procure parts.
  • Maintain warehouse in a clean and orderly fashion. Ensure all parts are properly stored and inventoried.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Be able to perform tasks of loading and off-loading material to and from truck. Truck driving experience is helpful.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Job requires knowledge of elevator parts and materials
  • Job requires knowledge and capability of completing surveys in the field measuring fixture locations, beam locations and machine installation requirements.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $20.39/hr and $28.03/hour; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including commissions based on achieving individual performance and/or sales metrics, incentive compensation and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these additional compensation and benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
