Director, Field Marking - REQ # 1131

Location:

Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US LLC is looking for a Director, Field Marketing.

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for ensuring Mitsubishi Electric HVAC maintains a market leadership position in our distributor and contractor channels and METUS Field sales team by ensuring that our processes, procedures, programs, and policies reflect the current business environment, are updated on a regular basis, and are clearly articulated to our entire channel. Role includes indirectly leading the Regional Marketing Managers, providing direction, and communicating brand standards and corporate marketing policies to the regions, developing consistent marketing in the field, establishing contractor consulting competency, vet and manage contractor marketing firm(s) as needed and manage field marketing expenses whether co-op or development funds.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Work with each Regional Marketing Manager to create an annual marketing program by Business Unit
  • Drive improvements to the contractor and dealer portal via corporate marketing
  • Manage Co-op budget to achieve sales and leads goals
  • Work to implement and drive adherence of the brand standards and guidelines to the field
  • Communicate regional marketing needs for corporate marketing to support with standard and consistent messaging and creative
  • Determine strategy and management of third-party providers necessary to create World Class Field Marketing
  • Own the Co-op program policy, program, and process
  • Develop relationships with the Business Unit Directors to understand BU needs to assist the Regional Marketing Manager with execution of programs
  • Create development program and opportunities for the Regional Marketing Managers
  • Develop Marketing Consults for Contractors program to implement nationally
  • Define National Programs such as Consumer Rebate, Retail Salesperson spiff, oversee collateral creation, implementation process and reporting process.
  • Define Field Marketing needs for Product Launches and Updates along with Programs with Product Management and Sales Operations
  • Define and track field marketing metrics
  • Willing to travel up to 33% for various Company meetings and training both domestically and possibly internationally
  • Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (MBA is a plus)
  • 10+ years HVAC industry experience a plus
  • Minimum 6+ years of increasingly responsible positions in management with demonstrated history of high performance and achievement
  • Strong critical thinking skills including demonstrated ability to analyze issues and develop, implement, and document processes that improve business performance.
  • Ability to multi-task, responds well to pressure and deadlines, and works well individually and in a team environment. Ability to manage multiple projects and personnel.
  • Flexible to changing priorities, project scopes, and deadlines
  • Leading through direct and indirect reporting relationships
  • Communicate exceptionally (listening, comprehending, composing written communication).
  • Strong Project Management, facilitation, and team leadership skills
  • Proficient in Salesforce, Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record
  • Team player demonstrating METUS core values including a desire to win together, deliver excellence, drive sustainability, focus on execution and learn continuously.

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $140,000 and $192,500 per year, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including target bonus plans and discretionary awards. Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans then in effect, eligible employees may enroll in a 401(k) plan, as well as participate in Company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance plans for the employee and the employee’s eligible dependents. Employees will also receive 80 hours of vacation per year, 56 hours of paid sick leave annually, and 13 paid holidays throughout the calendar year, depending on hire date. Employees may also take up to 12 weeks of paid or unpaid [parental/disability/emergency/etc.] leave, if eligible.
