Human Resources Intern, Learning and Development - REQ # 1453

Location: Suwanee, GA

Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US LLC is looking for a HR Intern, Learning and Development in Suwanee, GA for Summer 2026.

Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC LLC (METUS) is seeking a dynamic and motivated summer Human Resources intern to participate in our project-driven Student Internship Program (SIP). The SIP is designed to provide students with professional experience in the furtherance of their education and with an opportunity to apply academic knowledge in a practical setting under a trained supervisor.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The HR Intern will have hands-on experience in supporting a variety of projects focused on performance, development, and culture. They will be involved in high-impact initiatives such as skill development programs, employee training design, and coordination of live training sessions. By the end of the internship program, they will have designed, developed, and facilitated an employee training class either in-person or virtually around a strategic topic.

The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Support the creation of strategic learning content, including: PowerPoint presentations, breakout activity guides, participant guides, and handouts.
  • Edit webinar recording videos to be uploaded to the Learning Management system.
  • Support the design and execution of employee leadership development summer conference.
  • Actively participate in employee engagement initiatives, leading the execution of at least one event with HR team support.
  • Assist with the design and distribution of organizational communications such as intranet bulletin boards and newsletters to ensure employees have knowledge of training and development events and resources.
  • Create and facilitate employee development class, either virtually or in a classroom setting.
  • Complete an end-of-internship presentation to key executives and stakeholders.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Communication Studies, Organizational Development, Instructional Design or related field.
  • Completion of at least sophomore year by internship start date.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
  • Comfort communicating through remote collaboration tools (Teams, Zoom, SharePoint).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively, working with team members and key stakeholders to accomplish project goals.
  • Ability to manage deadlines, adapt to shifting priorities, and work independently.
  • Be proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn.
  • Team player demonstrating METUS core values including a desire to win together, deliver excellence, drive sustainability, focus on execution and learn continuously.

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $16.54 and $22.74 per hour, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including target bonus plans and discretionary awards. Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans then in effect, eligible employees may enroll in a 401(k) plan, as well as participate in Company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance plans for the employee and the employee’s eligible dependents. Employees will also receive 80 hours of vacation per year, 56 hours of paid sick leave annually, and 13 paid holidays throughout the calendar year, depending on hire date. Employees may also take up to 12 weeks of paid or unpaid [parental/disability/emergency/etc.] leave, if eligible.
