Engineer II, Software Test

Location: Suwanee, GA

The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Creates test plans for verification of software requirements.
  • Performs manual testing for desktop applications, websites, mobile and embedded applications.
  • Documents test results.
  • Creates and maintains trend data related to software quality over time.
  • Verifies software issues reported by customers.
  • Submits detailed reports to the software development team.
  • Maintains a list of known issues for each software release.
  • Reviews and helps oversee test cases and results of other team members.
  • May use software tools and develops custom scripts for automated testing.
  • Verifies and duplicates security test results.
  • Designs, develops, executes, and documents load tests.
  • Identifies, replicates, and isolates issues within complex distributed network systems comprised of server, mobile, and mechanical components.
  • Troubleshoots system setup issues.
  • Identifies necessary components for system testing.
  • Installs, configures, and troubleshoots system testing environments.
  • Creates and maintains trend data related to software quality over time.
  • Performs performance testing of cloud APIs.

Education and experience:

  • B.S. or equivalent experience
  • 10 years of testing experience
  • Background in performance testing, regression testing, automated GUI testing.
  • Experience creating use cases and test scripts.
  • Experience working with Windows.
  • Experience working with database testing.
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Experience using automated tools for GUI testing.
  • Experience using automated tools for server load, performance, and latency testing.
  • Knowledge of standard SDLC methodologies, including Waterfall and Agile.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $80,000 and $110,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including commissions based on achieving individual performance and/or sales metrics, incentive compensation and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these additional compensation and benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
