Human Resources Manager - REQ # 1163

Location: Suwanee, GA

Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US LLC is looking for a Human Resources Manager in Suwanee, GA.

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position will provide human resources consultation and support across the organization. Position requires extensive knowledge and experience in various human resources functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, total rewards, performance management and compliance to provide coaching and guidance to METUS managers and employees.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to the following:

HR Business Partner

  • Act as primary business partner to designated departments and functions within METUS.
  • Provide general human resources support and guidance to employees and managers in designated departments and business segments including Marketing, Controls Product Management, Technical Solutions, Business Planning, IT, Finance, Credit, Customer Care Center and Facilities.
  • Provide advice and counsel to the management team on issues surrounding HR to include but not limited to:
    • Guide management on appropriate interpretation of organizational policy and procedures in the areas of employee/management issues.
    • Guide management on administering progressive discipline by reviewing employee’s past work history/discipline, giving recommendations, and assigning training.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into employee concerns and allegations through a comprehensive, systematic approach striving for win/win solutions.
  • Drive performance management including coaching and counseling managers on issues while being an employee advocate.
  • Guide Management and Employees through annual Performance Management, Goal Setting and Review Process.

Compliance

  • Lead the ongoing development and monitoring of METUS HR policies, procedures and governance matters.
  • Manage compliance activities related to established and refinement of policies and procedures as well as the implementation of new policies and guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal employment regulations.
  • Ensures accurate and current job descriptions are maintained for each position; manages job descriptions audits biannually
  • Partners with Talent Development on all Compliance Training, as necessary.

HR Operations

  • Work with the MEUS corporate office on shared services such as compensation planning and market analysis, HR systems, payroll and legal support.
  • Propose and implement process improvement strategies within the HR department.
  • Act as a strategic change agent assisting in the METUS Lean transformation specifically with HR department’s processes and procedures
  • Contribute to overall employee engagement, retention, communication and measurement initiatives.
  • Partner with Talent Development Manager on the design and execution of required training and ideas for needed development solutions for designated departments and functions.
  • Assist HR leader with ad hoc projects and assignments as needed.
  • Willing to travel up to 25% to for various Company meetings and training.
  • Perform other Duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors’ degree in related field; MBA or other master’s degree preferred.
  • PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
  • 5-7 years of progressive Human Resources Generalist experience in employee relations, compensation and benefits (administration); organizational development.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a managerial or leadership capacity.
  • Proven ability to work with employees and managers at all levels and foster relationships.
  • Excellent organizational, communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills.
  • Advanced computer skills in Word, PowerPoint, Excel and prefer experience with HRIS system.
  • Results driven approach while remaining flexible and collaborative.
  • Team player demonstrating METUS core values including a desire to win together, deliver excellence, drive sustainability, focus on execution and learn continuously.
  • Advanced knowledge of project management and HR systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of business and sales & distribution processes.
  • Experience with Lean principles or Continuous Improvement processes a plus.
  • Highest level of integrity, discretion and sense of confidentiality.
  • Team player demonstrating METUS core values including a desire to win together, deliver excellence, drive sustainability, focus on execution and learn continuously.
  • Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $104,000 and $143,000 per year, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including target bonus plans and discretionary awards. Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans then in effect, eligible employees may enroll in a 401(k) plan, as well as participate in Company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance plans for the employee and the employee’s eligible dependents. Employees will also receive 80 hours of vacation per year, 56 hours of paid sick leave annually, and 13 paid holidays throughout the calendar year, depending on hire date. Employees may also take up to 12 weeks of paid or unpaid [parental/disability/emergency/etc.] leave, if eligible.
